BURUNG TERKUKUR API
Cameron Highland
The little cuckoo-dove (Macropygia ruficeps) is a small, reddish-brown pigeon found across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Brunei, China, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. It has cinnamon-buff plumage, a long tail, and coral-red feet, distinguishing it from other pigeons.
This species thrives in evergreen hill forests, second-growth forests, and cultivated areas, typically at elevations between 300m and 2,000m. It travels in loose flocks and is known for its soft, rhythmic calls.
