LITTLE CUCKOO DOVE

BURUNG TERKUKUR API
Little Cuckoo Dove (Macropygia ruficeps)

The little cuckoo-dove (Macropygia ruficeps) is a graceful bird commonly found in Southeast Asia, including parts of Malaysia. It is a medium-sized dove with a slender build and a long, tapering tail. Its plumage is typically a mix of warm, earthy tones, with shades of rufous, chestnut, and a subtle bronze shimmer on its wings. These muted colors help it blend seamlessly into forested habitats.

Little cuckoo-doves are often seen in pairs or small groups, foraging for fruits, seeds, and berries in forest canopies and edges. Their flight is swift and direct, and they are generally shy and unobtrusive birds, rarely drawing attention to themselves.
